CRP CARS
Trailer fire changes outlook for CRP Racing
On the return trip home from the
first SPEED World Challenge race of the 2008 season in Sebring, FL, in March, the transporter CRP Racing had leased caught
fire, severely damaging the racecar and the team equipment.
This has been a very big blow for a small race team with no
major sponsors or funding.Along with trying to replace the team equipment that was destroyed in the fire,
the complete devastation of the racecar has left CRP Racing trying to rebuild and get the racecar back on the track where
it belongs.
After watching a program on T.V. about the young patients at the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, CRP Racing owner,
Nicholas Short, realized that despite this blow to his race team he still had many things to be grateful for and decided to try to
turn this negative incident into something positive.CRP Racing and the #12 Corvette’s driver, Brian
Kubinski, (www.diamondunlimited.net) have agreed to donate any prize money won during the rest of the 2008 season to two charities:The Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org) and the local Wings of Eagles Ranch in Concord, NC, (www.wingsofeaglesranch.org) that provides therapeutic horseback riding for disabled children. In addition
to donating the prize money, CRP Racing will also be promoting awareness for these charities and holding fundraising events
at the SPEED World Challenge races.
We will post information
on how you can help us contribute to these two charities ASAP!
CRP Racing will also be promoting those companies that have generously supported
our team with product sponsorship and would like to thank Lista, CRD Engine Development, Motec, C&R Radiators, Brown &
Miller Racing Solutions and CoolShirt for their contributions.
